Hong Kong gallery - The city of Thousands of households

Hong Kong, our beloved city, is known as "Thousands of households" (the common term in the old days) for its compact buildings in neighbourhoods. Each block of building lives hundreds of people and putting all tightly-packed buildings together come to the term "thousands of households".

During the period of baby booming and fast growing economy in the 80s, Hong Kong people worked very hard to make a living for their family. Some of them worked for several jobs at a time and there were barely sleeping times. The old generation called this can-do attitude "Lion Rock Spirit".
